Yes, it came to us. The time was nigh. We had done this before, and knew that this was absolutely necessary. And thus the selection of a hash-tag was open for debate.

Somebody did pitch in #omcon. That someone was I, Naman Sharma. May be it sounded too good and appropriate to the team and that’s why I had a hard time convincing them.I lost. Also #omcdvitiya was not good enough. I have to “work” with the team, you know.

Gurpreet Bali’s bright idea was #conindia. This guys has views, opinions, ideas ranging from absolutely brilliant to.. well, not so much. But all of them are backed with great enthusiasm, which makes him bearable. He also suggested #omc, which might I tell you means “Oh my Corndogs” on twitter. He’s supposed to be the bright one, you see.

Gurpreet Bali - the ingenious

Manyu Angrish is the man, and that is all. His ideas were: #omgomc, #omc2011, #omc11. Nobody really was “all ears” to these, so his efforts were pretty much in vain. We believe in him, you see.

Like all groups have a geek, we have Rishabh. And let me tell you he’s not your run-of-the-mill nerd. You know, the young achiever kind, one who does what he likes and gets what he wants. Well, he is  all that and a whole lot more! He was there just consenting what all of us pitched in, and sometimes laughing hard too. He didn’t want to suggest, he just gave his views. He’s supposed to know a lot, you see. #bully.

Gobind Shahbaaz Singh – the one who does most of the running around and keeping everyone “motivated and pumped up” – is more or less the man behind all of this. Since everyone knows what that means, we all “agreed” to keep what he suggested – #omconf. He says it’s appropriate. He’s supposed to change the world, you see.

So, after brainstorming for an hour, bursting 20 balloons, a couple of zingers and some shakes, #omconf made the cut. And it would certainly be our pleasure to present it to you.

Gurpreet Singh Bali – His amiable character and cuteness notwithstanding, Bali’s now-no-longer-a-secret fetish for balloons has us all worried sick.

Unable to handle his failure in Punjabi cinema, Bali has become increasingly dependent on these rubbery comforters

Tejbir Singh Reen – Popular for his witty T-shirts, Reen’s our rain-maker. Go ahead boy, make us wet!

Naman Sharma – Nobody’s really sure what he’s doing here. Naman, what are you doing here?

King Siddharth – The conquest of the evil monster boredom is King’s greatest achievement. He designed most of our stuff that’s made you go ‘Oooh!’.

Though it's inadvisable to travel to the States with him

Rishabh Verma – Relishes the labels of ‘geek’ and ‘genius’, Rishab taught the Architect how to code the Matrix.

Manyu Angrish – Doesn’t believe in self-pomposity but that said, just take it from me, he’s awesome.

Not a man of many words, Manyu believes in the power of action

Angad Gill – He’s our go-to man when trouble comes knocking (which seems to have been happening an awful lot lately).

Rohan Madaan – The reason why Anna’s campaign was such a success. We’re really hoping Madaan still has his form.

Gobind Shahbaaz Singh – You’d be seeing a #404 Page Not Found if not for Shabby the great. The brains (and the heart) behind the entire project.
